ok so i don't remember the last time i actually wrote in this thing, it has to have been at least 6 months or so...
today was the first day of school and guess what? BR screwed up another schedule, mine! I guess its not quite so bad, they put me in s1 spanish but there is an honors class during the same period, so i just have to get guidance to change some numbers and im in, unfortunatly i don't think it is as simple as that, and if it is i have very little faith in the guidance department at this point in time to do it and not mess it up.
can't wait for thursday when the we have band practice. its not really a real band, just the worship band for my youth group... but it'll do for now.
well its off to some wonderful homework, something i know all to well and havn't missed all summer long.
if you are reading this right now, stop, ask yourself why and continue...
no im just kidding but really go and check out this band, Purevolume.com/paramore
its really good, emotional music with a female vocalist. its really good, i cannot stress that enough, well maybe, its REALLY GOOD!!!!! but really go and check them out, they're a nice fresh band in a time when most new bands sound like the same pop crap like the new fall out boy, all american rejects, and the drive thru invasion bands, but not Anberlin :) |

Well, today is Valentines Day, the one holiday during the year that i detest. i got to thinking today just why i hate Valentines Day so much. I have come up with some possible explanations for this. one is that i have no one to spend Valentines day with. another reason could be that it has become far too comercialized to really be a special occasion for lovers. it seems to me that Valentines Day has become "What is he/she going to get me" day. where has the love gone? i'm begining to think that it was defeated when Society became a sex crazed one. it sickens me to think what exactly this wonderful generation of mine has been doing. it seems more and more that commitment, and even respect are a thing in the past. i mean something as simple as cursing in mixed company shows absolutely no respect, or maturity towards those around you. since when is it cool to say eff this and eff that? it's nothing less than retarted. and then we come to my wonderful male comrades. i find myself more and more ashamed to even be of the same gender as some of my fellow "men". it makes me sick to my stomach to think that guys really judge girls on one thing, whether or not they would "do" them! My God, what is this world coming to. i know that this is really drifting off topic, but i'm far too lazy to go back so....
i read this awsome article in a book i am reading. it's called The Military HAnd Book and Soldiers Manual of information, published in 1861, and it contained a hilarious article concerning Civil War Uniforms, and suggestions for VOlunteer Units picking their Uniforms.
"The Zuoave mania is becoming, in plain words, overdone. some men appear to think that, to be a good soldier, and man must needs look as much as possible like a Turk, who dresses far more regard to a peacock display of colors than ofutility or good taste. that this is true, let anyone compare the solid, sober gray uniform, or the mosdest and sensible blue, with the flaunting firey red "bag" breeches, adn uncouth jacket and senseless gew-gaw trimmings of the opinion if he judges of service and propriety rather than of show. the Zouave drill doubtless will become engrafted upon our militar system, fo rin guerrilla war, or in charges and assaults, the Zuoave system of practice is superior to that of the recieved tactics for infantry. what we inveigh against is, not the system, but the gay colors and cumbrous nature of the costume adopted."

I hate Massachusetts and it's drivers so very much. Today i was involved in my first car crash, but it was pretty minor, and entirely the other person's fault. It kills me how impatient this suburbian society is becoming. When is the last time some one drove the speed limit, or if they did, how many people were enraged and harassed them for doing so. i cannot even to begin to put my anger into words.
maybe anberlin can help calm me down... their new cdis amazing. i got it on monday, the day before it was released, and it has been playing in my stereo ever since. |

Thanks to the blizzard we got on sunday, school has been canceled for the past two days, but tomorrow looks like the day we get to start the Second Semester, and term 3. I just can't wait for this winter to end, and summer to come around when its warm, and i don't have to worry about school. I hate the cold so very, very much. Anberlins new album is coming out in approximately 6 DAYS, 3 HOURS, AND 50 MINUTES, but who's counting. |

yeah, so i found this quiz and i imediately thought of someone.... you know who you are.
but its been quite some time since i've updated this thing, so....
my christmas was great, i love christmas and presents and christmas vacation, yeah thats right, christmas vacation, none of this "happy holidays" crap, its christmas.... new years was ok, i went over to my youth pastor's house and hung out with some friends, and then watched south park: bigger, longer and uncut. 'twas quite the movie.
in current news.... i've got a track meet on saturday at the good old regi lewis center. its been a long time and i can't wait to race there, but im the only person from br running the 1000m and my calfs are on fire at the moment. hopefully they'll clear up by saturday.

This weekend was uneventful for the most part. I spent most of it doing absolutely nothing. I was however enlightened into the magical world of internet music videos via rollingstone.com. I must say, the piebald video for "I havn't tried it" is quite the video. If you have not seen it, see it now.
I think im gonna go and stare at the four walls of my room for an hour or so and wallow in my desolate solitude.

So today was just plain awesome. I didn't get my chemistry test back, which is always a good thing. Track was actually fun, we just goofed off on a 4 mile run, instead of the 6.58 something mile run we were supposed to do. We went back to the track and did 2 400's, its a good thing we cut the run short because i don't think we could have made it for 2 400's after running 7 miles. I am currently staring at the four walls of my room, when i should probably be doing homework, oh well, I'll live.
But she is amazing. I tend to feel that she dosn't feel the same, but that dosn't matter, I'm actually happy for once, and content with my current state in life, which for me is unheard of...

So today marks the third day of Track and the I'm already sick of it!!!
I wish i could have gone to see My Chemical Romance and TBS last night... but it didn't happen, what a surprise. Disappointment has been a reocurring theme in my life these past few months.
Well im off to another fun filled day of running. Its raining out so maybe we'll get to work out in the school, and play tag. |
